It's not Christmas, but my hubby thinks it is.

I know it is a little early to post a hat that would probably be for a season in December, but there is another season coming up soon and it makes my hubby think it's Christmas! He thought this hat was great for the season he is thinking about( but he wouldn't even think of taking a shot at this one, it's too little!) Besides he would never take a shot at one with a red nose. I actually made this hat for a special photographer who loves to shoot babies!  (Okay there is too many puns in this post!)

Getting a little more serious, this is a great photo prop for cute little babes.

I wish I had a real babe to model it, but I'm sure that I'll get one as soon as I deliver this.

This was a fun hat to crochet and works up quite quickly.  I'm thinking I need to make a moose one as well.
(Wouldn't that be cute!)

Gotta love this little Rudolph!

My cute PINK pirate!

After making my first pirate hat, I thought it might be pretty cute to dress it up a little.  So why not PINK! Girls like pirates too!  So, I made this pirate hat to fit this cute little pin pirate. This little girl loves everything PINK! so of course she loved the hat.

She couldn't wait for me to get finished with it so she could wear it.  While I was making it she would try it on with my crochet hook still attached! We then decided we needed a photo shoot.

She was a little shy at first and wasn't sure about the picture taking thing.

I still was able to get some pretty good shots though even though she was a little shy.

Then she warmed up and became a happy pirate.

Love that cute little smile.

She does make a great pink pirate!

Oh, Grandma, you are so funny...

Okay, I'm done.
I was excited though to see how cute a pattern can turn out just by trying some different colors!

Baby Sandals in the Fall?

You are probably wondering why I am posting some baby sandals when it is getting to be colder and fall weather.  Well, I had a request to design this pattern and the lady is from Florida, and it is still flip flop weather there!  In fact I have sold quite a few patterns for summer baby sandals, ( but all of the buyers are from Florida, Australia, and places that it is warm now.)  It's funny because at the first of the summer I was selling mitten patterns and I thought it was odd that someone would want to make mittens when it was starting to get warm. ( the lady was from Australia! then I under stood, it was starting to get cold there!)

After I figured out how to make these, I was so excited because they turned out so dang cute!

So I guess, any time of the year you can make these because they would make such cute gifts.

Would love to see them on come cute little feet!

Yes, it is fall here, but in some places in this big world it is starting to get warm!

Aviator hat

I have been working on this pattern and I need a model! This candle stick isn't quite doing it for me.  I guess I will have to make a trip and find one of my cute little boys to model this hat for me.

It is a quick pattern and was fun to make and I can see it in all kinds of colors but I decided to go with the aviator colors for the first time.

Can't wait to see it on a cute little head!

Yea, the candle stick just doesn't cut it!

I will try and get some better pics with cute little faces!

The dog ate my pattern!

Remember when someone used the excuse the dog ate my homework and the teacher thought "Right, sure it did,"  Well, if I was a teacher, I might start believing the excuses students give for absent homework.  I had been working on this pirate bandanna hat pattern and I had the pattern all written up in pencil on my paper and somehow we left and someone,(I'm not sure who!) left the back door open and the dog pushed it open and came in.  I had my crochet project and pattern sitting on the downstairs couch and when I came home, guess what? Yep, the dog had chewed parts of it up. Boy was I mad! but not as mad as this time. (Go here, if you want to read about this disaster.)
I tried to piece the pattern together but parts of it was missing, (I wonder if that dog has a belly ache?)
It's not that I can't remember how I made the pattern, it's just that it is so hard to write down exactly how I made it!  Making whatever is the fun part, but making a pattern for someone else is hard!  So I had to remake it because you have to write it down as you make the pattern.

It turned out so cute and Saturday I had the perfect model for this cute hat and eye patch.

I'm not sure if he likes one eye being patched, but it is adorable.

Grandma, you are so strange.

Love those little pirate rolls.

"That's better, I can see now!"

I'm sure this pirate will be a hit with all of the ladies!

"I love you Grandma!"
There was one good thing that came out of the dog eating the pattern.  I was able to make another hat and this time I made it for a BIG pirate!

Aren't these two just the best pirates you've seen all day!

"Give me a pirate face!"

Kind of better.

Now, there's your pirate face!
Love it and thanks to my great models!
